This training equips educators with vital insights into the profound effects of childhood adversity on students’ learning and behavior. Through comprehensive instruction, teachers will gain a deep understanding of how traumatic experiences can shape students’ responses and hinder their educational journey. The training empowers educators with effective strategies and compassionate techniques to create a safe and supportive classroom environment that fosters healing, resilience, and optimal learning outcomes for students who have faced adversity.

Types of Certification provided by our partners:
The Illinois Education Association will provide 5.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) per workshop for those on a Professional Educator License (PEL). The SIU School of Medicine will provide 5.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) per workshop for LSW, LCSW, LPC, and LCPC.
